Your Home
Break-ins are an act of opportunity. Your home is more secure if there is someone staying in it while you are away, less opportunity for culprits to break in.
An important fact, your insurance company likely requires that someone check on your home every 24-48 hours in your absence.
Having a live-in house sitter can mean the difference between having your insurance
coverage kept valid and having the coverage made invalid (and possible claims denied) by not having your home checked often enough.
We live in and treat your home like it’s our own, this often includes some light lawn care and snow shovelling.
Our Team!
Avis and James are passionate animal lovers who hate the thought of you having to put your pets in a kennel
with other pets. They are firm believers of keeping pets in their familiar environment when their people need to
leave them.
Avis grew up on a farm in the Interlake region of Manitoba, where beside the cows, chickens, pigs and horses
to tend to Avis always had dog or two, several cats, floppy eared rabbits and yup even much to her father’s
dismay guinea pigs in the house.
James grew up in St. Norbert, Manitoba before it became part of the city of Winnipeg and is fascinated with
dogs and cats and their unique human bonds. A dog’s excitement to be petted by a “new friend” always brings
a smile to his face.
Although they no longer have pets of their own. Avis and James have a huge, sweet spot for animals and take
the opportunity to take care of pets of friends and family whenever they can.
Now that Avis and James have both retired, James from the department of corrections and Avis after 40+ years
in financial services they want to combine the love of animals and travel.
Pet and House sitting gives them the
opportunity to get in their pet cuddles and travel further afield for a longer period of time–to places they
otherwise could not afford to stay in on their retirement budget.
